Supplier Rating: WINK

RATING: 10/10

I figured I’m going to do these supplier ratings bit by bit so that I won’t get overwhelmed after the wedding. And our first rating is a perfect score, look at that. I hope this will be a sign of things to come. *crosses fingers*

For our invitations, I initially planned on getting letterpress invitations from a supplier in Cebu. I alread had Abet’s go signal. That was until I found the perfect wedding shoes which were a bit pricey. I had to choose between letterpress invites and the shoes. The shoes won. I had to get less expensive invitations.

A Discovery Weekend batchmate, Raech, hightly recommended WINK or Written in Ink, so we checked them out at a bridal fair. Their designs were nice, and more importantly, their rates were affordable, so we booked them right away.

We chose a the standard size (5.5″ x 7″) to be printed on ecru paper. The price was at P70/invite inclusive of main card, entourage card, RSVP card, and envelope. We got a free sealer and a discount of 20% for booking at the fair. Because we ordered less than 80 pieces, we paid a P500 surcharge. We added map cards for an additional P10 per piece. For 50 sets of invitations, we paid only P3,700. Not bad.

As for the invitations themselves, I am very pleased. The ecru paper is just lovely and smooth, and the invitations themselves are ‘malinis ang pagkagawa.’

The main card. I made the effort of concealing our wedding date like it’s some big secret, mwehehe. My parents are “Drs” with their doctorate degrees, but we didn’t put them on the invitations anymore. We’re not the type.

Yes, Imelda R. Marcos is my bridesmaid. Because I’m bungga like that. :P Our godparents are uneven, we have two best men, and we have no kids in our entourage. Secondary sponsors are married to each other.

Reception and map cards. WINK gave us cute little poems to choose from to ask for monetary gifts, but I wouldn’t dream of putting it on our invitations. I’m one of those who think that that’s tacky. Sure, I’d love to receive money, but I’d never print it on my invites.

Our free sealers. They were initially “AD” for Abet+Dea, but we had them changed to “AM” because that’s our mutual initial.

So, there you go. Our invites. As for their service, I have no complaints. Our contact, Stef, was very pleasant to deal with and responded promptly to all my text queries. Turnaround time was quite fast, we got the first study two days after I went to their office, and revisions were done in a day. We only had two revisions, but those were due to errors on our part. The invites were ready nine days after I approved the mock-up.

I’m so glad we chose WINK. I get to have beautiful invitations and my beautiful shoes. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for affordable but quality invitations. When I’m going to have my business cards done, I’ll definitely order them from WINK.
