Here’s something that will make you happy, Gleek brides! Jane Lynch, who plays Sue Sylvester on Glee, wed her longtime girlfriend Lara Embry last weekend in Massachusetts, where same-sex marriage is legal.
When I read the good news, an image of a glam Sue in the Madonna tribute video flashed in my mind:
Wearing a Vogue (the Madonna song)-worthy wedding gown, perhaps? In real life, she wore a classy white shirt and black pants for her nuptials. (Much better than a tracksuit.)
I love how she did a Luli Arroyo and had just 21 guests. If I had things my way and my way alone, I’d have a family-only wedding with less than 20 guests. But that would just break my groom’s, my mama’s, and his mama’s hearts. But now I’m happy with the wedding we’re planning–we’re blessed to have a lot of people we love and love us back whom we’d want to share our special day with.
But you know what we’ll have in common with theirs? The four-piece jazz band for the reception! Our wedding will be full of awesome live music, baby!

Hey Dea, how are the preps going? Hope you’re having a great time with your wedding planning. It would be great to have a very, very intimate wedding no? Less details to attend to, not to mention less expense. But as our moms would say, it’s a once in a lifetime event and many people want to celebrate it with you.

Sue Sylvester is one of my favorite characters in Glee. I love her humor, and I love how she makes Glee spicy!
