I’ll be going to Tagaytay tomorrow to check out a new reception venue. Abet and I still haven’t decided on one. We were already 99% sure to have our wedding reception in Caleruega as well, but I read in W@W about venues that cost P10,000-P15,000 less than Caleruega. The price makes those venues worth checking out.
Anyway, I’m a bit bummed that Abet won’t be able to come with me, he teaches at CEU on Saturdays. He’s extremely busy this semester with work, graduate school and rehearsals that I really don’t want to bother him with wedding preparations. Good thing my sister will be free starting next week once she’s done with the Red Cross lifesaving course she’s taking. She’ll be a bum until she starts med school in June unless she gets herself a temporary job. I’ll have someone to accompany me on wedding-related errands. I’ll drag her with me to Tagaytay for more ocular inspections, or to Tabora St. in Divisoria to check out the wholesaler stalls for our wedding favors. In any case, I know I’ll be able to handle the wedding preparations myself, that’s the bride’s job, anyway. Well, except for the saving part, I’ll need Abet’s help for that.
But there are two things that Abet will definitely be involved in when it comes to our wedding. He will be in charge of the music, of course. We’ll have nothing less than awesome live music for both ceremony and reception. And he also needs to have a say on the food. Oh, he’ll kill me if I don’t include him in food-tastings, hehe. Where there’s food, he’s in. In fact, I’m letting him have the final decision when it comes choosing our caterer, as long as he chooses the one with the BEST food. We’ll have two food-tastings this Sunday, at least I won’t be alone for those.
aw, you’re planning a wedding ~ congrats! enjoy every moment. i planned my wedding from abroad and it was sooo hard. oc pa naman ako. hehehe.
