Favor suggestions, anyone?

Our wedding counter says that it’s 8 months, 2 weeks, and 5 days until our wedding, and you’d be surprised at how much we still have to accomplish at this point. One of the things we haven’t finalized yet is our wedding favors, and I’m just itching to cross this item off our list.

I want to get purple M&M’s in little mason jars, but those can get expensive for our budget, shipping costs alone can be a pain in the neck. I’m still scouting for other options.

Any suggestions? I’m going through favors/personalized gifts websites right now (even those selling personalized easter gifts), but I’m still stumped. I would prefer edible giveaways, nothing that will collect dust, please. And I’m not too keen on giving away cupcakes, it reminds me of kiddie birthday parties and baptism receptions.

I hope we can get to decide on this soon, so we can move on to the remaining 729 things left to do for this wedding.

  1. hi dea! naalala kita when you went gaga over my M&M’s post. ikaw pala ang addict sa M&M’s. :)

i cannot recommend a specific giveaway, but i always believe in one thing: give something that is personal, something that has a connection with you and your fiancee and says something about the two of you.

i think M&M’s would be a great idea, since you love is so much! if you know womeone who is in the states, pabili ka. alam ko nga pwede ka ata magpa custom made eh. :)

    • kg: Haha, oo, I still have not forgotten your M&M’s post, pangarap ko pa rin talagang makapunta doon! That’s what we’re planning, to have someone from the US get them for us na lang if we decide to push through with this.

  2. You want something edible? ako naman dati I want something useful, thus the magnets. :D

If you like, you have choices in project bakehouse over at facebook. I know another pastries supplier who sells moist brownies loaded with walnuts or choco chips or cherries. :D

If you decide to go ahead with M&Ms, pabili tayo sa US. :D

    • nicquee: Ma-check nga yung project bakehouse na yan. Pastries sound good, I like it better than cupcakes. I’ll repack it na lang in a nice package para di magmukhang Christmas gift. I like the magnets idea din, since we collect magnets.
