Let’s see…
I’ve learned contouring and highlighting, and doing the ‘no make-up look,’ day make-up, and evening make-up. I’ve also learned so much about cosmetics.
But here are some things I didn’t realize until the last few weeks:
1) Make-up artists spend a lot of time cleaning make-up brushes.
2) The expenses JUST. WON’T. EFFIN. STOP. Once you become a make-up artist, even if you already have the necessities covered, there will still be so much left to acquire.
3) Make-up artistry is backbreaking. Literally. Try bending at an obtuse angle for an hour straight. Now try that for four hours straight. You get the picture.
4) A make-up artist needs the arm strength of a wrestler. My train case is so heavy — and I don’t even have that much stuff yet!
The last few weeks have been great, never mind that I’m on the brink of bankruptcy at this point. I wonder why I didn’t go to make-up school sooner.
